# Talisman of Pure Good > [!info] Item Details > | | | > |---|---| > | **Category** | Wondrous Items | > | **Rarity** | Legendary | > | **Attunement** | Yes | > | **Source** | DMG p.207 | --- ## Description This talisman is a mighty symbol of goodness. A creature that is neither good nor evil in alignment takes 6d6 radiant damage upon touching the talisman. An evil creature takes 8d6 radiant damage upon touching it. Either creature takes the damage again each turn it holds or carries it. If you are a good-aligned cleric or paladin, you can use the talisman as a holy symbol and gain a +2 bonus to spell attack rolls while wearing or holding it. The talisman has 7 charges. While wearing or holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 charge and target an evil creature you can see on the ground within 120 feet. The target must make a DC 20 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a crack opens beneath it — the creature falls in and is destroyed, leaving no remains. When all charges are expended, the talisman disperses into golden light and is destroyed. --- ## Properties - Non-good creatures take **6d6 radiant damage** (evil creatures take **8d6**) upon touching it. - Good clerics/paladins: use as a **holy symbol** with **+2 to spell attack rolls**. - 7 charges (action, 1 charge): target evil creature within 120 ft — **DC 20 Dex save** or **annihilated** by a crack opening beneath it. - Destroyed when last charge is used. - Requires attunement by a **creature of good alignment**.
