It has a normal range of 100 feet and a long range of 300 feet. When you make a ranged attack using it, you use your proficiency bonus on the attack roll. On a hit, the target takes 8d6 lightning damage and must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or have its hit point maximum reduced by the damage taken. If this would reduce the target's HP maximum to 0, the target is disintegrated, as the disintegrate spell.
