The six sides of the cube are each keyed to a different plane of existence, one of which is the Material Plane. The other five are chosen by the DM. You can use an action to press one of the cube's sides, which casts the gate spell with it, opening a portal to the keyed plane. Alternatively, if you use an action to press one of the cube's sides twice, you can cast the plane shift spell (save DC 17) targeting a creature, sending them to the keyed plane. The cube has 3 charges for the gate effect and regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. --- ## Properties - 6 faces, each keyed to a different plane (one is the Material Plane). - Press a face once: cast ***gate*** to that plane (3 charges; regains 1d3/dawn). - Press a face twice: cast ***plane shift*** (DC 17) to send a creature to that plane (no charge expended). - No attunement required.
