# Chromatic Rose > [!info] Item Details > | | | > |---|---| > | **Category** | Wondrous Items | > | **Rarity** | Rare | > | **Attunement** | Yes | > | **Source** | FToD p.22 | --- ## Description This rose is imbued with the magic of a chromatic dragon. While the rose is on your person, you have resistance to the type of damage associated with the dragon whose blood was used to create it (acid, cold, fire, lightning, or poison). As an action, you can blow the petals from the rose to exhale a breath weapon in a 30-foot cone. All creatures in the cone must make a DC 13 saving throw (the type is the same as the rose's damage type). On a failed save, a creature takes 8d6 damage of that type, or half as much on a success. Once used in this way, the rose loses its magic. --- ## Properties - While held: **resistance to the rose's associated damage type** (Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Poison). - Action (once only): breathe a **30-foot cone** — DC 13 save or **8d6 damage**; the rose then loses its magic. - Requires attunement.
