Each of the deck's cards is painted with mysterious imagery. While holding the deck, you can use an action to draw a card at random and invoke its magic. Each card has a different effect determined by the DM, often dealing with fate, fortune, misfortune, or interactions with the dead or the spirit world. Some drawn cards can also be used to target creatures, forcing them to make saving throws or suffering powerful effects. The deck has many uses tied to the tarokka fortune-telling tradition of the Vistani, and its precise card list and effects are detailed fully in the sourcebook. --- ## Properties - Action: draw a card at random — the drawn card's **magical effect activates** (varies by card). - Cards relate to fate, fortune, undead, and spirit interactions. - Full card list and effects are in **TCoE p.128**. - Requires attunement.
