### Creation Types
| **Creations** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Makeup Disguises | Cosmetic alterations to complexion, apparent age, or facial features. The quickest and most portable form of disguise; effective at distance. |
| Costume Disguises | Identity changes through clothing, props, and mannerisms. Effective for passing as a specific profession, social class, or cultural background. |
| Prosthetic Disguises | Physical additions of false noses, ears, jowls, scars, and other applied features. More convincing under close inspection than makeup alone. |
| Race & Species Disguises | Complex multi-element disguises designed to pass as a different creature type. Require the greatest investment of time and materials. |
| Magically Enhanced Disguises | Disguises stabilized, deepened, or extended using magical components. Resistant to magical detection at lower tiers; nearly impenetrable at higher tiers. |
### Ingredient Types
| **Ingredients** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| 🞛 Prepared Cosmetics | Pre-mixed paints, blushes, contouring agents, skin-tone foundations, and hair treatments mixed to specific colors and textures. The ready-to-apply layer of any makeup or prosthetic disguise. |
| 🞚 Raw Pigments & Materials | Cosmetic wax, spirit gum stock, theatrical hair, fabric scraps, and unpigmented makeup base. The raw building blocks that must be processed and blended before application. |
| 🞜 Adhesives, Solvents & Setting Agents | Prosthetic adhesive, theatrical spirit gum, powder setting agents, and removal solvents. Determines how long the disguise holds, how it responds to sweat or rain, and how cleanly it removes. |

### Performing Disguise
> [!faq]- Disguise Creation Example
> To construct a ***City Watch Imposture***, an Uncommon full-costume disguise that grants advantage on Charisma (Deception) checks when impersonating a member of the city guard and passes passive scrutiny without a check, follow the steps below:
>
> **1. Gather ingredients**
> The ingredients for a City Watch Imposture are:
> 🞜 Long-Hold Spirit Gum & Setting Powder
> 🞛 Prepared Skintone & Weathering Cosmetics
> 🞚 Raw Pigment Base, Guard Uniform Fabric
> For this example, we'll assume a genuine guard uniform or high-quality replica has been sourced separately.
>
> **2. Roll a disguise check to determine the quality and convincingness of the disguise.**
> The DC is equal to...
> *the rarity of the creation* — *your disguise level* — *your [[Abilities#Charisma|Charisma]] modifier* (minimum of 0) — *your proficiency bonus* (only if proficient with a Disguise Kit)
> - Upon success, you waste no materials and the disguise is complete and convincing.
> - Upon [[#Failing A Disguise Check|failure]], you waste materials and the process takes longer.
>
> **3. Prepare the cosmetics.**
> In this case, you succeed and now need to blend ***Skintone & Weathering Cosmetics*** from raw pigment base, which costs 1d6 *portions of Raw Pigment Base* — *Charisma modifier* (minimum of 0) per disguise.
>
> **4. Add remaining ingredients.**
> All other listed ingredients are consumed at a 1-to-1 ratio unless otherwise stated.
> In this example, 1 set of Long-Hold Spirit Gum & Setting Powder is consumed.
### Failing A Disguise Check
On a failed disguise check, roll a *disguise die* — *your disguise level* to see how many ingredients are lost (resulting in a minimum of 1). You must roll separately for both *prepared cosmetics* and *raw pigments & materials*. For time wasted (resulting in a minimum of 1 hour), roll a *disguise die* — *your proficiency bonus* (only if you are proficient with a Disguise Kit).
> [!note]
> A disguise that fails during active use — such as a prosthetic peeling away mid-conversation — immediately exposes the wearer. Materials consumed in a failed active disguise are not recoverable.
