The message can have any number of words in it so long as it doesn't surpass 25 letters. The etching is shallow, between 0.0004 inches (0.01 millimeters) to 0.1 inches (2.5 millimeters) deep and looks as though it was etched in by acid or by a laser. The etched material shows no signs of burning or discoloration unless you want it to. After casting, the material looks as if it has always had the message etched into it. --- ## At Higher Levels This spell does not scale with character level.
