The prison can be a cage or a solid box, as you choose. **Cage** — You conjure a 20-foot cage (up to 20 feet on a side) made of 1/2-inch diameter bars spaced 1/2 inch apart. A creature in the cage's space when it appears must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a successful save, the creature can choose to be inside or outside the cage. On a failed save, the creature is inside the cage. A creature can pass through the bars freely. **Solid Box** — You conjure a 10-foot box (up to 10 feet on a side) of solid force. A creature in the box's space when it appears must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a successful save, the creature can choose to be inside or outside the box. On a failed save, or if the creature chooses to be inside, the creature is inside the box. The prison is immune to all damage. Nothing can pass through it. No creature can teleport out of the cage or use planar travel to leave it. A *disintegrate* spell destroys the prison instantly. A creature inside the prison is subject to its effects. --- ## At Higher Levels This spell does not have an upcast effect.
